Round Staked Stool - Rustic

The legs of this stool are split with an axe and shaped with a drawknife and spokeshave giving a nice primitive or rustic feel. The round pine seat is just under 2" thick. White oak legs are secured with wedged through tenons and a dovetail key strengthens a small surface check in the underside. Assembled with hide glue and finished with shellac. This is a nice stool to live with - I use a matching one at my workbench everyday.
